Marcus Oldham College – Nicholas Hancock House Opening – 2025

Australia’s next generation of agricultural leaders now have an exciting new place to call home!

For the first time ever, all students at Marcus Oldham College are able to study and live on-campus thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, and Hancock prospecting.

The newly opened Nicholas Hancock House stands as a tribute to both sides of Mrs Rinehart’s pioneering agricultural family. This exceptional 45-bed residential facility provides students with a modern, comfortable, and purpose-built living environment designed to support their academic endeavours and wellbeing. With state-of-the-art amenities and an empowering atmosphere, Nicholas Hancock House will help set some of Australia’s brightest agricultural students up for success, as they prepare to lead the industry into the future.

The official opening took place on 19 October 2025, where Hancock Agriculture CEO Adam Giles proudly represented Mrs Rinehart in unveiling this important investment in agricultural education. The ceremony brought together students, staff, and industry representatives to celebrate a shared vision for cultivating excellence in Australian agriculture.
