Bannister Downs Dairy’s Farm Fresh Milk has been crowned the winner of the prestigious 2022 Australian Grand Dairy People’s Choice Awards.
Recognised for its smooth farm fresh taste and superior quality with no additives, Farm Fresh Milk has proved to be the most popular product among Australian dairy lovers.
Established in 1999, the Australian Grand Dairy Awards take place annually and are considered the premier dairy awards within the industry, recognising the quality, excellence and talent of local Australian dairy producers.
Each year, the finest dairy product from each state – spanning categories of cheese, milk, butter, ice cream and yoghurt – secure state champion status, and are then judged by experts with a chance of becoming the one Australian grand winner, the highest accolade a dairy producer can receive.
This year, rather than experts, the People’s Choice component of the awards left the judging in the hands of the people, encouraging Australians to vote for their favourite dairy products.
The 2022 Australian Grand Dairy People’s Choice Awards winner, Bannister Downs Dairy, said they are honoured to have been recognised by Australia.
Founded in 1924, Bannister Downs Dairy is a family owned and operated business with a team of 60 passionate and dedicated dairy farmers on a mission to bring Australians the best and most sustainable dairy milk.
Managing director, Suzanne Daubney, spoke with pride upon receiving the 2022 Australian Grand Dairy People’s Choice Award.
“There are so many awards in the Dairy Industry, but one of the most valued is the People’s Choice Award,” Daubney said. “Knowing that consumers really appreciate our product, see how passionate we are, and value what we stand for is so rewarding for us.”
Dairy Australia Managing Director, David Nation, said he is proud to see Australian dairy producers recognised for their excellence and quality.
“We are passionate about our Aussie farmers, our producers, their products and our local communities, so it’s been great to see the public get involved in the People’s Choice Awards, support their local favourites and demonstrate their love for dairy,” he said.
