Hancock Agriculture was delighted to sponsor the 2026 Pastoralists and Graziers Association of West Australia (PGA) Annual Convention, held at Crown Perth on Saturday, 31 October, bringing together farmers from across Australia’s agricultural and pastoral industries.
Under the theme “Shaping Bold Agricultural Policy for Changing Times”, the convention provided an important platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Australian farmers, pastoralists and regional businesses.
The program featured an interesting line-up of speakers, including Senator Pauline Hanson, Senator Michaelia Cash, WA Nationals Leader Shane Love MLA and Hancock Agriculture CEO Adam Giles, who shared their perspectives on the future of Australian agriculture, regional development and the policies impacting these essential industries.
As one of Australia’s leading agricultural businesses, Hancock Agriculture recognises the vital contribution of our farmers, pastoralists and graziers to our nation, and we recognise that thanks to government policies, especially all those associated with the Paris Accord, plus increasing government charges, farmers are struggling. Which means the businesses they support are also struggling, and country towns and livelihoods. We endorse less government tape, regulations and charges for Australian agriculture.
Championing these industries and the hardworking Australians behind them remains a priority for Hancock Agriculture, under the leadership of Executive Chairman Mrs Gina Rinehart, who continues to strongly advocate for Australia’s agricultural sector and the fantastic people in them. As Mrs Rinehart says, “When Australian agriculture does well, so do the businesses they support and country towns. But when agriculture doesn’t do well, nor do Australians.”
Adding a touch of Australian country style to the evening’s gala dinner, Kidman presented a special fashion parade, with members of Australia’s artistic swimming team plus 2 members of the swim team, modelling the latest collections.
The parade showcased Kidman’s distinctive blend of country heritage and contemporary Australian fashion, featuring versatile pieces designed to take you from the country to the city, in stylish comfort. Explore the latest collections at kidman.com
The evening celebrated Australia’s proud pastoral heritage, and brought together agriculture, Kidman fashion and Australian sporting stars.
Mrs Rinehart and the Hancock Agriculture companies congratulates the PGA, for their decades of service to and support for the farming and pastoral industry. Mrs Rinehart commented, “The Pastoralists and Graziers Association of West Australia has been and is, a critical voice standing up for our agriculture industry, an industry essential for putting the meals on our tables, and an industry we in agriculture, love. With extra thanks to the PGA for their steadfast support for every National Agriculture and Related Industries Day, each November 21st, and especially to their long term president, Tony Seabrook, who is the vice patron of National Agriculture Day.
