We were delighted to welcome the Royal Australian Air Force to our purpose-built Pilbara aerodrome, Ginbata.

The arrival of the No. 37 Squadron C-130J is the latest Air Force asset to visit Ginbata, further strengthening the relationship between two of Australia’s essential industries – mining and Defence.

Did you know… C-130s have supported the Australian Defence Force for close to 70 years, with the first variant entering service in 1958. This workhorse has conducted missions across the full spectrum of operations from troop transport, cargo delivery, humanitarian aid and aeromedical evacuation throughout Australia and around the globe.

Hancock Iron Ore is proud to be a Veteran Employer of Choice, supporting veteran initiatives throughout Australia.

Led by our Executive Chairman Dr Gina Rinehart AO, Hancock Iron Ore is committed to giving back to our veterans and those currently serving in our Defence Forces, recognising their service and sacrifice in keeping Australia safe.
